Seeking information on Louis/Lewis HAAS b 1830 in Steinbach, Germany (near Giessen) and his brother Jacob HAAS b. 1836 in Steinbach, and their offspring and ancestors. They were the sons of Kaspar HAAS and Anna Katharina Kramer of Steinbach. Other children of Kaspar & Anna included Johannes HAAS b. 1817; Anna b. 1819; Philip b. 1824; and Heinrich b. 1826, all of whom remained in Germany, I believe. Louis and Jacob came to America around 1850/52 and settled in Saratoga Springs New York. Have substantial info to share on Louis and Jacob.
