His father's name was MATTHIAS HAAS. He had at least 4 brothers: JOHANNES, FREDERICK, MATTHIAS, and JACOB. He and Jacob came over to the United States between 1867 and 1871 and settled in Rock Island, Illinois. They worked at Wagner's Brewery there. Bernard married KATHRINA HAHN and moved to Unionville, Putnam County, Mo. in 1877. Hope someone has heard of this family.
