Since this list is so small it is set so that all replies are returned to the list whether you hit the "reply to author" or "reply to all" button. To send a private message you will need to "cut and paste" 2. All messages sent to the list will be archived and can be searched by "threaded" topic. To insure that your posting will reach as many researchers as possible please make your subject line as informative as possible. Include the first and last name of the object of your search, a state / county and time frame. For example: HAAS, John, Lee CO MS, 1839-1859. Subject lines such as "Help needed" will get lost in the archived posts and you might miss a valuable contact. 3. NO FLAMES !!!!!
