I am pretty sure my Haas line came from Lehigh County, Pa. My great-grandmother was Rebecca Jane Haas. Her family Bible indicates her date of birth as 21 Jan 1840. Her date of death as 27 Jan 1923. She died in Starkweather, Ramsey County, North Dakota. Unfortunately North Dakota does not have a record of her death. Every census I found her in lists her place of birth as Pa. The family Bible lists her parents as Isaac S. and Susannah Haas. He died 18 July 1881 and she died 2 June 1878. I am not sure where they died. In the 1870 census they were living with their daughter and her husband in Warren County, Il. In 1880 Isaac was still living with them in Warren County. I found a book on Lehigh County Births that lists an Isaac being born 31 Jul 1808 to Isaac and Margaretha Haas. This book seems to indicate that Isaac was born 25 June 1786 to Henry and Catharine Haas. If any of these people sound familiar, let me know. Jeff DeHart Altadena, CA.
