    1. [HAAS-L] attention Victoria
    2. Hi Victoria, I am Opal and I was lucky enough to goto Utah also. Our Genealogical group went there for a week in march. I believe you may be getting an address for the library and the Joseph Smith building intertwined. The Joseph Smith Building is about two blocks from the main library. I don't know if you really need a street address as once you get there Everyone will be able to tell you where it is. We stayed at the Wyndam Hotel but the Plaza is even closer (right next door if you go out the side door). The new temple is being built right across the street from the J.Smith bldg. . What we did was walked through temple square and smelled the flowers on our way to the Joseph Smith. There they have a lot of soundex and censuses as well as the family books, which were written by Mormons about 20 years ago or so. I bet you could find the address on the internet. But the address of the Wyndham Hotel is 215 W South Temple Salt Lake City, Utah 84101. I did not have too much time to get ready before hand and I wasted a lot of time up there doing the looking up stuff. If you get into the familysearch.org site and log onto the family library section, type in your surnames or areas where you are looking for land records or whatever and pull up films and books. to read. make a list of the numbers then you can go to the library and just look on the shelves and find the books a table to sit at while you are reading it and have a blast. There are many copy machines and the sisters and elders will help you get that situated to copy film. It costs 25 cents for the copying film. The library is the largest in the world. One thing you should remember is that all sisters and elders are not created equal. Some mean well and try to help and really don't know that much about it. Others are more knowledgeable but are too busy to help too much, So you will find your own films and books etc. good luck, opal --
