Hi .... I have a Maria Lousia Haas born April 1, 1853 in Aichhalden, Schwarzwald, Wuerttemberg illegitemately to Sabine Haas, sister to my GR-GR-Grandfather. Sabine's mother (Luzia), 3 brothers, and 2 sisters (their fater was already deceased) all immigrated between 1853 and 1859 and settled in New Athens, IL, a short distance from St. Louis. Sabine married Peter Steiger in 1861 when Maria Lousia was about 8 years old. I have not been able to find out anything additional about her mother, step-father, or Maria Lousia after that. I assume they relocated elsewhere, perhaps together, perhaps seperately. I have quite a bit of info on Sabine's other siblings and their descendants except one brother. Also have quite a bit on ancestors back to early 1600's. It would be great if we could prove this Maria to be the same person.
