Anna Maria Mefort had an illegitimate daughter Anna Marie Mefort b 13 Feb 1813 in Vorstetten, Baden Germany Anna Maria married Johann Georg Haas 30 December 1838 Vorstetten, Baden Germany. She had daughters Magdalena 3 Feb 1839, rosina 19 Sept 1841, Maria Salome 22 October 1844 and Friederike 14 November 1847. They emigrated in 1855 to St Louis, Missouri, where she died 26 February 1901. (It seems he died in Dec 1868.) It is a long story we had thought that she was the mother of our Henry Frey of Michigan but now it seems that she was his foster mother for about 10 years. This seems to clear up the mystery of why his 'mother and father' ended up in such different places. Of course it creates several mysteries- Murphy's Law.
