Hays family and Davenports were neighbors and some of the First settlers around the 1790's along the Ohio River south of Fort Pitt. Town First named Hays Station then Davenport is between Sisterville and Friendly WV. The Hays Family i have linked to an Adam Hays born in Del. 1730.
