    3. Hi Joseph: Thanks so much for taking the time to sign my guest book. I really appreciate it. I'm afraid I can't be of much help on your family. My Davenports were in NC from the early 1700s until this current generation. My Haas family stops for me in 1810 in TN. But, I wish you the best of luck and drop back by now and again. Oh - are you aware there is a DeHass/DeHaas e-mail list? You might want to join and see what everyone else has that might be of help. Hays family and Davenports were neighbors and some of the First settlers around the 1790's along the Ohio River south of Fort Pitt. Town First named Hays Station then Davenport is between Sisterville and Friendly WV. The Hays Family i have linked to an Adam Hays born in Del. 1730. There is a tale that links the Hays Family to Johannes DeHaes who arrived in New Amsterdam (NY) around 1652 from Holond? Have you any insite? Joe Hays
