I am descended from Albert Gallatin Haas and Louisa Patterson, who were in DeKalb County TN in 1840. Their daughter Nancy Frances was born July 4 1833 and married in 1853 in Randolph County Arkansas. Does anyone else descend from this couple, and does anyone know anything about Albert's father, John?(besides what is on your site, Linda). Thanks! Sue in MN

I just spent the past little while sending a message to every Haas and Hass researcher listed on the RSL list at rootsweb inviting them to join to the list. Perhaps we will end up with a lot of new subscribers. Hi everyone: I have been researching the Haas name (pronounced as Hass) for several years. If you want to see how long I've been hunting them and how many Haas' I have simply drop by my homepage (below). My Haas Ancestors: John HAAS (b) 1810 TN (d) 1879 Lee Co MS. He first married Mary Ann or perhaps Lucy and 2nd Talitha Robinson. He first appeared in Monroe Co MS in 1839 when he witnessed a will for a TUBB. There are several HAAS' in middle TN in 1810 and they all had that terrible habit of naming their sons the same names <huge sigh>. You will find my personal line for the HAAS family at my homepage below. I'd be delighted to meet any cousins!!
