    3. My Haas line is very short, but would love to correspond with anyone associated with it. My 3rd great grandmother was Catherine Haas born @ 1797 and married Morand Harnist on April 25, 1823 in Willer, France. Her parents were Pierre Haas and Anne Marie Brand. They were all from the Willer, France area. I have copied all the records (that I can read) from Willer, France from about 1686-1860 and there are alot of Haas names in there, I would be glad to look for anyone to see if theirs is there, just let me know. Thanks. Doug Negus negus@nwidt.com

    3. I am specifically searching for the parents or siblings of Anna Maria Haas, mother of Cyriak Haas. Anna Maria HAAS was born about 1840, most likely in Oedsbach or Lautenbach in Baden, Germany. Because she was illegitimate, I got stuck here. We only know about her son Cyriak. My other area of interest ist Anton Haas, who immigrated arround 1910-1914, possibly to USA, but also other countries like Brazil or Australia. Absolutely no records are available, the only thing my father remembers from his father (Anton's halfbrother)was a postcard from Hamburg, therefore we assume he left Germany from Hamburg harbor. ---- Descendants of Franziska BOHNERT and Cyriak HAAS First Generation 1. 3. I doubt that we're related, but I have talked to Ray and Leroy via email. My family came from Alsace-Lorainne in the 1700s and settled in Reading and Virginia. I trace to John Turner Haas in Woodstock, Virginia, as well as David Isaac and Irvin, Walker, Gillock, Grove and Hoffman in the Shenandoah Valley. Good luck with the reunion. 2. Linda Haas Davenport
    3. Welcome to the HAAS mailing list! I'm Linda Haas Davenport and I'm the new hostess of the list. Please take a second and review the following short list of rules for the list HAAS LIST RULES: 1. Since this list is so small it is set so that all replies are returned to the list whether you hit the "reply to author" or "reply to all" button. To send a private message you will need to "cut and paste" 2. All messages sent to the list will be archived and can be searched by "threaded" topic. To insure that your posting will reach as many researchers as possible please make your subject line as informative as possible. Include the first and last name of the object of your search, a state / county and time frame. For example: HAAS, John, Lee CO MS, 1839-1859. Subject lines such as "Help needed" will get lost in the archived posts and you might miss a valuable contact. 3. NO FLAMES !!!!! If you have a problem and want to yell at someone then send me the message or send it to the individual privately. 4. This list is governed by Rootsweb's Acceptable Use Police http://www.rootsweb.com/rootsweb/aup.html You should take a few minutes and read this as it explains both Rootsweb and your responsibilities. 5. Last but not least let's have fun on this list. We're a small list and chatting is acceptable. 1. My Haas Line
    2. Jeff DeHart
    3. My line is very short. My Great-grandmother was Rebecca Jane Haas. She was born somewhere in Pennsylvania 21 Jan 1840. 21 Oct 1860 she married William DeHart. There obituaries contradict each other as to where they were married. One says Commontown, PA, which I cannot find, and the other says Shelbyville, Shelby County, Indiana. I've looked at the film at my local Family History Center and could not find there marriage in it. Rebecca's parents were Isaac S. and Susannah Haas. He was born around 1809 in Pennsylvania and died in 1881, probably in Monmouth, Warren County, Illinois. Susannah, I don't know her maiden name, was born around 1814 in Pennsylvania and died, probably in Monmouth, Warren County, Illinois. I cannot seem to find Isaac and Susannah in any census until 1870. They were living in Warren County, IL with Joseph and Francis Shoemaker. It appears that Francis is their daughter. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff DeHart Altadena, CA

    3. Hi, our first ancester to come to the United States was Peter Haas, b. 1824, d 1895, he came to America in 1849. He lived in Portsmouth Ohio, and Wheelersburg, Ohio, both in Scioto Co, and finally in Pine Grove, Ohio in Lawrence Co, first located in the us censs in 1850 in Scioto Co, Ohio, he was living in Portsmouth along with many other German immigrants to came to this area to work in the iron ore mining industry. We believe Peter had brother named George, and John. My family has done extensive research, going to Germany on many occasions and have been unable to place Peter in Germany, they have not found the ship that he came over on. they know that he was from the Rhineland in Germany. Peter married Fredericka Thieken, also from Germany, and they have found her family in Germany and a family farm that has been in the Thieken family documented since the 1500's. Our real experts and researchers are my cousins, Pete Haas - rhaas@jps.net, and Leroy Haas - lhaas@isd.net. we also have a wonderful family web sight http://www.thf.net/contents.html (hope that is current site name - Pete or Leroy could better help you I am sure.
