    3. I have belonged to this list for a long time and I have never seen any Gwins mentioned except the South Gwins. There just has to be someone out there chasing the same Gwins I am..........? There path was: PA>OH>WI>some IL>some MO>. In the 1830 census of Knox county, OH there are Enos Gwin, John Gwin and Daniel. In the 1840 census of Knox county, OH; Horatio J. Gwin is there also. The John that is in the 1830 census in Knox county, OH must be be my husbands Great-Great-Great g/father. John Gwin that m. Margaret Ann Leach in what was Knox county, OH must have been living at home. A son in the census would fit his age in 1830 and he married in 1837. Horatio was 30-40, and females, 1; 5-10, 1;10-15, 1; 15-20, and 1; 20-30. There just has to be tie in. John, (this John would be my husbands great-great grandfather) Horatio, Rebecca Jane and Enos all married while in Knox County. Theodore Gwin was my husbands Great grandfather. Was raised by John's sister Catherine and her family Mrs.John Singery. We don't know what happened to his father John after wife Margaret Leach Gwin died abt. 1842. With them all being in Knox (which later became Morrow county), they just have to be related. Some of them went on to WI also Theodore served in the Union Army out of WI. When he left WI he went to MO after a while in Whiteside county, IL. He married Elizabeth Kyle b. in PA, daughter of Andrew Kyle and Eliza Henderson Kyle. They are buried in Whiteside county, IL. In Theodore's which was in 1915, states that his only brother died about a year ago. No name but would have been 1912-1913, and that his father died about 1885. No names and no places mentioned. Thanks for reading this. Would like to connect with the North Gwins. If you have any questions, please ask. I am sorry this is so long. Norma Jean King [email protected]

    3. Norma: I wrote to some Gwin's in Peoria several years ago but only got one reply: from a guy in a correctional facility. He said his Gwin's originally came from the Ohio area, but he didn't know anything else about them. You might try searching addresses in Peoria. Good luck.
