Someone let me know about a book that had been written about my line of Guins. The book is "Remember Mee" by Bertha Cordes Schuchmann of NE Iowa. She writes of the move from Ohio to Iowa by Jacob Solomon Guin (Maria Wade) and tell the story of James Wilson Guin (Mary Catherine Speed). She touches on Jacob's father, Neal Guin who supposedly came from Ireland and also on my grandfather Edgar LeRoy Guin, son of James. It was really good to find some documentation of this line.
