Hi: JAMES GWIN (1765-1841) who lived in Tennessee had a son WILLIAM born I would say c. 1793. His father JAMES was a Methodist minister of sorts...so that would tie in..... The Rev. Wm. Guinn of Grundy Co, TN was either the son of or nephew of this Rev. James Gwin. William's father or grandfather was Mordecai. I have some documentation of that from years back when I thought the Rev. William was my ggg grandfather. But still, NO link to Champ Gwin. I can't even link the 'older' Champ Gwin to the younger Champ Gwin in Franklin Co, TN circa 1825-1830! The man DID NOT want to leave a trail!! :-) Thanks for trying to help. All help is appreciated with this guy!
