    1. Richard Gwin m. Sarah Chesley near Jamestown ca. 1760s
    2. John Gwin
    3. According to their grandson, Richard Gwin and Sarah Chesley married near Jamestown, VA, probably around the 1760s. This grandson, John Gwin, b. Nov. 1792 in TN (prob. Sevier Co.) and m. Jane Walker in Blount Co. 8 April 1812, moved to middle Alabama where both John and Jane lived to a nice old age and are buried. They're my ggg-grandparents. Richard's son and John's dad, Isham Gwin, who married Mary Canterbury in southwest Virginia, owned 249 acres in Sevier Co., TN, at least as early as 1807, then moved to Orange, Harrison, and Crawford counties, IN, in about 1820, and remained in that area for the rest of his life. Many of the Gwins, Dentons, and others of southern Indiana descend from him. Does anyone have any information as to who Richard's parents and siblings were?
