Isham Gwin is one of my gggg-grandpas. He married Mary Canterbury near Blacksburg, Virginia, and moved to Tennessee, settling in Sevier Co. in the Wear Valley. They had about ten children, most of whom moved to southern Indiana with him to escape association with slavery. At least two disagreed, however, and moved to Alabama instead.
