Robert Burns Guthrie, son of James Smith & Lethe (Burns) Guthrie, was born in Alabama 1 Oct 1831. He was living in Santa Ana California in 1900. His wife died there in May 1907. Known children: Mary Eudora Guthrie, Sarah Emma Guthrie, James E. Guthrie, Vienna E. Guthrie, Rose Guthrie and Robert E. Lee Guthrie. Robert's father, James Smith Guthrie, was a Cumberland Presbyterian Minister born in TN. He married Lethe Burns after moving to Alabama. The family moved West to Texas where Robert married Nancy Killian in Rusk, TX.
