There are several Archibald Guthries in my line, John. Wonder if we have one in common. My 4th, 5th, and 6th great-grandfathers were all Archibalds, as was a great-great-great-uncle who died at age 20. All were from the Greene County, PA area. Although I believe my 6th great-grandfather Archibald emigrated here from Scotland when his son Archibald was a child. Seems to be a popular name among the Guthries and Scots in general.
