I am asking that those of you who think that you may descend from the Middlesex Co., Virginia Guthrie's contact me reguarding a DNA test. I intend to send in a sample and get the process started. I would like to get tests from descendants of the following at least: John Guthrie and Mary Shay. I know there are several of you that believe you descend from a Henry Guthrie child of these two. William son of Nathaniel Guthrie and Nancy Jane Johns. Charles who moved from Virginia to SW Kentucky around 1832, and whose father is belived to be Garrett. Any Guthrie with proven ancestor's from Halifax Co., Virginia, or Person Co. NC. (1750-1800) Any Guthrie with proven ancestor's from Carteret or adjoining counties, NC (1750-1800) Any Guthrie with proven ancestor's from middle Alabama (early to mid 1800's) Any Guthrie that can trace ancestry to the early 1800's in Tennessee or Kentucky.
