I have been trying to find info about William and it really isn't there. It is like he just appears in VA around 1772. He moved to Ga and ended up in Walker Co and from there my ancestors moved to Memphis TN which is where I am from. I am slowly gathering information but I am really just getting started. You should contact Shirley Anderson or Linda Durfee. They have been researching for a while and have a great deal of information and they love finding new Guthrie/Guthrey relatives. I don't have their emails in front of me at the moment but you can find them on most message boards.
