The fartherest I have been able to go back is Robert Guthrie, b. ca. 1773 in Abbeyville Dist., S.C. He married Martha Jane Norwood, b. ca. 1779 (dau. of Capt. John Norwood and 2nd wife Jane Pickens Norwood) also of Abbeyville Dist., S.C. Robert and Jane Norwood Guthrie moved to Giles Co., Tn. and Robert is listed on the 1812 tax list for that county. Would like to know who parents of Robert were. Does anyone else have these two people in their lines? Surely (and hopefully) someone else is looking for these people, other than I.
