My husband's g-grandmother was Lucinda Margaret GUTHRIE, born 03 Feb 1827 in Spotsylvania County, VA; married Edward Spindle (1826-1862) on 12 June 1845 also in Spotsylvania Co.; died 03 May 1850 in Kaskaskia, IL. Lucinda died after giving birth to my husband's grandmother Sarah Elizabeth Spindle. Edward remarried a Martha McCormick and they had more children. I believe that Lucinda was one of 12 children of Bartlett Guthrie (1788-1845) and wife Rosamond Samuel (1791-1845); and Bartlett's father to be a William Guthrie.
