Anybody out there following story of the 1794 Louisville stone building they're about to tear down? It was built by a James Guthrie (not to be confused with the Railroad tycoon) who'd come from PA where he'd served with the 8th PA Line. Calvert Guthrie Kansas City
Could I have some links for this please? I just Googled the info with no luck - will try the newspapers there too. I'm very interested as I haven't been able to find the parents of my husband's ancestor Lewis Guthrie, who was born in Kentucky in 1816 and showed up by the 1830s in Shelby County. According to all census records with such information, his parents were born in KY also.
