I am trying to locate or determine where the ancestors of my oldest known relative, Henry Guthrie, came from. The earliest record I have found of him was his marriage to Manerva Lyons in 1834 in Newton, Ga.and then the 1840 census there. Henry Guthrie and family then moved to Roswell, Ga before 1850. Family stories say henry was born in 1812 in GA. Not sure this is true. I have found a couple of people, in GA. I believe to be brothers but have been unable to trace them. I can find no trace of where Henry came from or any of his relatives. North Carolina and VA are likely sources. I would appreciate your look at any research you have done to see if you cab find any possible connection. I have a lot of info on Henry's descendants and would be happy to share.
