This is what I have: he was born about 1692 in Scotland and died abt 1753. He married Mary Little about 1720. I have 3 sons listed for him, Charles Guthrie, Daniel Guthrie, jr and Solomon. Of these the only one I have documented is Daniel, Jr. His son Charles apparently ran off and left his wife and children and possibly was in trouble with the law. I'm not quite sure on that part. John WesleyGuthrie's father could not have landed in this area in the 1700's but his grandfather could have. I do not have parents for John Wesley Guthire so I have no way to check. Sorry it took so long to answer but we had a small problem called Charley over the weekend.
