For those researching Daniel Guthrie of Carter et Co., NC. Did he move from King and Queen Co., VA. i.e. descendants of Edward Guthrie. This of interest, at least to me. A family that did move from King and Queen to Carteret Co., was the Shacklefords. Roger Shackleford's passage was paid for by a Palmer and recorded in 1658. That's probably a year or son after Shackleford actually emigrated. Later records show a Francis son of Roger (b. 1664 in Gloucester, VA and died 1722-1726 in Carteret, NC. Note that many of the King and Queen records are recorded in the Gloucester records and also the other way around. Did the Guthrie's move from King and Queen Co.
