Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IBh.2ACIB/1201.1.1.1 Message Board Post: depending on which James you are talking about the one that was born in 1793 the father or James that was three in 1856, do not know when he died but do know he was my g.grandfather's little brother and at the time of the 1880 census they lived in Arkansas, Richland township- he had four sisters, Matilda,Tennesee, Jane and Nancy, and one brother John. Their parents names were James and Nancy. You have to realize that at the time these census were taken that the only one's that could read and write were the people taking the census, and that person spelled it Guthrey, the following census it is spelled Gutherie
