Can anyone add specific information about the following Guthrie folks appearing in Laurens Co. SC in the 1790's through early 1800's. I am trying to determine their inter-relationships. My NOTE- A Dudley GUTHRIE is in Franklin Co. TN age 26-44 (b. 1776-1794) with wife and 3 ch. He shows born in NC. 1 Nov 1815 Inv & Appraisal estate of Jacob DORAN -Debts included Dudley GUTHREY. Source- Laurens Co. SC Wills by Colleen ELLIOT 1784-1840 (If we assume Dudley was at least age 21 in 1815 then he was born bef 1794) 1820 Census Laurens Co. SC Pg 4 GUTHRIE- Benjamin (alpha so cannot identify neighbors) 1 m under 10, 1 m 26-44 (b. 1776-1794), 1 f under 10, 1 f 16-25, 1 f 26-44 (Benjamin is MY ANCESTOR. By 1830 he had moved on to Troup Co. GA, then AL) 1830 Census Laurens Co. SC- Did not locate any Guthrie, Guttery, etc. 1836- Abstracts of Rev War Pension Files Pg 1462 -"GUTRY- John R4398, NC Line he lived in Caswell Co. NC at enl, appl 31 Oct 1836 LAURENS Dist SC aged 98 sol mentions his bro William GUTRY as having filed in the state of GA & stated he (John) had lately moved to Tumbling Shoals in LAURENS DIST SC , I did not find a claim for sol's bro Wm Gutry."
