My g/father, Julius Thomas Guthrie, was born in Mumford, Al. to John B. and Emma Kirkpatrick Guthrie. However, he moved to Comanche and married there in the late teens. I believe he worked for a time with the Kirkpatricks of Comanche who were shoemakers. I have been totally unable to find anything on him, but feel there must be some relation with your Guthrie or one heck of a coincidence (I grew up in Comanche and there ain't that much there!) I did find that he was living with his sister-in-law, Lena McDonald Guthrie, in Manchester, Georgia. His nephews would be Philip and James. Don't know the brother's name, tho. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!
