Also found John W. Guthrie's land record. He bought 160 acres in Township 14 South including the Ladelle & Lucy area, Drew Co., AR on 9/1/1860. John W. Guthrie's home was House # 285 in Bearhouse township and had Lacy Post Office nearby in Drew Co., AR. Henry Lee was a kind and gentle man and was a wood cutter by trade. Guthrie's fled from Europe because they were horse thieves. Samuel T. Guthrie enlisted for the Civil War in Georgia, don't know what county. He and Mary Jane both died of swamp fever complicated by measels. Mary Jane was 1/2 Cherokee Indian and her first husband's name was Henry White. I have much more info on their lives and connecting families. If you would like that info you can email me at txcutie@urbancom.net and I will be happy to share. Also have a picture of Almas Henry Guthrie and brother Norman around 1930. Happy Hunting! Caitlyn Smith
