I have just begun to dabble in researching my family. I am from Erie, PA and a lot of my family came from down in the Williamsport, PA area. I found a cousin in the state of Washington that was kind enough to send me a wealth of information. I am still digesting it. I do know....from her information....that I am descended from a James Guthrie that originated from Ireland. It probably is a different James Guthrie since this one was born in 1801. Keep in touch. We are probably tied together back there somewhere
