Here is the line I am researching. In searching for my early ancestors, I have drawn a blank in trying to find siblings or parents of Henry Guthrie, Guttery, Guthry, etc. I first found hin in 1830 Newton Co. census and family stories say he was born there. I would appreciate any information you may have developed in your research that may give me a lead. I suspect that Henry's ancestors must have come from SC and or Virginia but have not been able to connect him to any other lines I have found. Following is the information I have: Henry Guthrie B.1812 married Manerva Lyon B. 1813 Both Born in Ga. Were in Newton Co. GA in 1830's; Cobb Co. Ga in 1850. Left Cobb County Ga. about 1855-1860. Henry left for Gold Rush. Manerva moved to Cullman AL area; Burried in Blount Co. AL 1. George 1840 Married Elizabeth 2. Sanford 1842 " Mary Paden then Nellie Brown 3. Mary J 1845 " Marion Nation 4. Josephus 1847 " Clarissa 5. William Franklin 1849 " Caroline Bailey 6. Zacharias 1851 " ? 7. Frances 1854 " Jackson Nation William Franklin Guthrie B. 5-5 1849 D. 7/1/1901 Married Caroline Bailey in Ala. B. 9/21/49 D. 6/23/1910. Lived in Cullman Co., AL 7 Children 1. Josephene 12/9/1874 Cullman AL. Married John King & J K Hart 2.Georgianne 8/17/77 Married Robert Mann 3.John Robert 8/17/79 Married Zora Watwood 4. Walter Lee 1/29/81 Married Minnie Lou Pate 5. James H.7/6/83 Married Maybelle Borden 6. Sanford Wilber 8/16/88 Married Ella Thompson 7. Belle 8/15/1891 Married Jessee Watwood William Franklin & Sanford William/Wilber are my line. Sanford was a farmer in Cullman AL.
