My grandma, Hazel, their middle child, was born in 1900. John Guthrie's parents were Leeman Guthrie and Christina Baker. They were married in Tennessee about 1858. They were both originally from Alabama. Leeman was born 1/10/1835 and Christina was born 10/16/1838. Their children were: Lizzie, John, Alfred, Benjamin, and Artha. I do know that Artha was born 9/23/1860 in Bravelton, Wayne, MO. I believe that John and all of his siblings ended up in Stevens County, Washington. I don't have any other information.

My Guthries are first located in Georgia, Newton County. Henry Was born 1812. He went to Roswell, Ga in the mid 1840's and then the family, less Henry went to Cullman and Blount Co., Al in the late 1860's. I have been unable to determine where Henry came from or his line. I suspect Virginia and into SC but can't prove it. Henry Left his family in the 1850 to search for gold. Don't know where he went but was never heard from again as far as the records show. I have a lot of info on Henry's descendants. Morris Guthrie
