He was the son of Ralph Guthrie and Juliett Pancake. His wife, Anora, was born in Wisconsin and was still living as of Boyd's death in 1969. I am hoping to find a living sibling for Anora, since I know that Anora and Boyd Guthrie did not have any children. I hope to find a photograph of Boyd's parents, Ralph and Juliett Pancake Guthrie. Juliett lived in Salt Lake City, Utah and Colorado until her death in 1957. Ralph Guthrie died in 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Thank you. Sandy

I am searching for information on William Guthrie, married to Mary Magdeline (maiden name unknown, but possibly O'Roark or Roark). Sons were Claburn ( or Claiborne) German, and Beverly (a male). Claburn married Eleanor Newlin in Chatham Co. NC. German died leaving 3 children to be raised by Claburn and Eleanor. I don't know anything else about them. But I've lived within 30 miiles of this area all my life and know for sure they were here that early and probably before. They also spoke the German language.

"Buck" Andrews married Martha "Patsy" GUTHREY (Beverly's dau) in Oglethorpe Co. GA 6 Mar 1822. This was after Buck's first wife Judith COLQUITT died in Jun 1821. Judith was d/o Robert Colquitt who was the sister of Sarah, Beverly's wife. We also believe that James Colquitt who is security (and Administrator) for Beverly Guthrey's estate is another brother of Sarah (not fully proven)....In summary---- Judith Colquitt and Martha Guthrey (the 2 wives of Buck Andrews) were first cousins. There are at least 2 Oglethorpe Co. GA deed abstracts inferring that Robert Colquitt and Beverly Guthrey were neighbors. I know Sarah GUTHERY was in Oglethorpe Co. GA through 1824. Where did you find her 1830? I have wondered if in 1840 she is the female age 60-69 in Henry Co. GA in home of her son-in-law Andrew TURNER (who m. Beverly and Sarah's dau. Elizabeth).

Is my memory correct that he married one of Beverly's daughters? That would mean she married her guardian! And I think I found Sarah in the 1830 census, so she was living at least that long. Uncle Lloyd also found a deed where William Guthrey sold land that Mary had inherited from her father, Harrison Musgrove, which ties up that loose end, too, proving he was her father. Now how to figure out where people got the idea she was an Indian!
