This David Isham Guthrie b. 1829 in SC married Charity Elvira Loyd. I am related indirectly via Charity's parents---James Loyd and Charity Payne. However I also believe that David lived next door to a relative in while in Alabama in 1860. Mary Elizabeth Guthrie married my relative Allen Bryant from GA and they along with their son Francis Marion Bryant lived next to David Guthrie (see the US Fed census for 1860). Mary was born in SC about 1830-31. I suspect she is David's little sister. I would love to know which SC Guthries were their parents. Any information woudl be greatly apprecited. Rod

Howard d. 1939 & Nancy J. Stout Woody d. 1937) lived at Guthrie, Logan, OK. Gertrude was last know to have lived at Caldwell, Canyon, ID in 1910. At that time she left her family and disappeared. At the time of her parents' deaths, they had not hear a word from her. Her brothers and sisters were unable to find her as well. I am told she died in OK in 1940 but haven't been able to prove that. I thought maybe she died back in OK where her parents died (Guthrie). Is there anyone there in the area who could find an obit or cemetery record for any of these Woody's? I have a Robert Guthrie, Sr. who was born 10 Aug 1773 in North Carolina and died 22 Feb 1856 at his residence in Giles Co., Tn. Robert Guthrie, Sr. married Martha Jane Norwood (b. ca. 1779 in S. What were their names? Where did they go from there? When did they leave? I have found the first trace of my relatives in Newton Ga in the 1840 census. His name was Henry Guthrie (guthry, Guttry, etc.). Family stories say he was born in GA in 1812 but I can't verify that. I have not been able to identify any of his siblings or parents. There is a William Guthrie that lived near him, suspected of being his brother, but I have not been able to trace him. Any Help appreciated. Morris
