Recently a church member died, and her family brought in some of her library pertaining to our church. One book had baby pictures glued inside the front cover. I pulled the book and will offer it back to the family. However, while looking and trying to decide if these were baby pictures of the dear member (who was b. in 1910, Bangor ME) I noted some information written inside the book. The book was published in 1891, The book evidently was owned by Mrs. Benj N Gulick of Wilmington, DE, apparently written by her in 1891. (She wrote her name and date in it.) On the next page, in different handwriting is written: Etta Williams Gulick passed away April 7th at 11:45 pm. I saw her last at six p.m., Thursday April 7th when she gave me her baby Lucy to take home to be cared for by me, with the promise to be good to "Her Baby". 1892. The writer is not identified. I hope this inforamtion helps someone, and if it does, I would appreciate knowing 'the rest of the story' <g>.
