My Gulicks never got further than the Somerville-Raritan Valley area of NJ. If you want to pursue this, e-mailme direct at plothrop@comcast.net. Interestingly, my daughter married a Fred Cook. Meanwhile, I'll try to dig out my Gulick info. phil

He in turn married Isabelle Huff born March 25, 1851 in Middlebush, and their son, Edward Gulick French was born May 21, 1877 in Millstone. Since the trend in my family was often to use the mother's maiden name as the child's middle name, it could be thaqt Elizabeth Gulick's mother was named Baker. 3. http://www.ancestorhunt.com/family_bibles_index.htm Family Bibles indexed from submitted data and Family Bible tidbits gathered from bibles listed on eBay. And an announcement from Olive Tree Genealogy: "Thanks to Janice Copeman, Olive Tree Genealogy now has a new set of records online. These are census records for Quebec from 1825 to 1861. Janice has extracted the names of Irish families for 1861, but the earlier records contain all ethnic groups. Quebec was formerly known as Canada East and Lower Canada, so you may see reference to those terms. If you have ancestors who came to Quebec then went on to other areas, you may find reference to them in these records. Many immigrants to USA for example, came in by way of Canada (often to Quebec) as it was much cheaper than sailing directly to an American port. These are the direct links to get to each census. Remember to let each page load completely, then start looking down the page til you see the names. 1. [Gulick] New Passport Index
    2. Barbara A. Brown
    3. From The Olive Tree: Thanks to hard-working volunteers Pam, Cindy G and Cindy L, I have recently put the following Passport records online on NaturalizationRecords.com (http://NaturalizationRecords.com/usa/ ) Passport applications are often a valuable source of genealogical information. NARA has passport applications from October 1795-March 1925. The U. S. Department of State has passport applications from April 1925 to the present. Some immigrants applied for passports to return home to visit family or friends. These records usually give a place of birth or at least the destination (which is often the home town) The first passport issued in USA was dated July 1796. My first new database is an Index to Special Passports 1829- 1887. This is for all states. http://naturalizationrecords.com/usa/passports1829-87a.shtml Next is an Index to the Register of Passport Applications 1809- 1817 for all states, found at http://naturalizationrecords.com/usa/passports1809.shtml At present 1809 and 1810 are online, the remaining years will follow as quickly as Cindy G and I get them transcribed. I have also added new surnames beginning with G, H and L to the existing Register of Passports 1834-1843 at http://naturalizationrecords.com/usa/passports1834_a.shtml These are for all states. G Surnames are at http://naturalizationrecords.com/usa/passports1834_g.shtml H Surnames are at http://naturalizationrecords.com/usa/passports1834_h.shtml L Surnames are at http://naturalizationrecords.com/usa/passports1834_l.shtml Surnames A to F were already online, and the rest will follow as quickly as they are transcribed. All records on NaturalizationRecords.com are FREE to use, please let each page load completely then scroll down to find the names. The index to Passport Records and an explanation of Passport Records as a research tool is at http://naturalizationrecords.com/usa/passports.shtml You can pass this message on to anyone you think might be interested, and if you find an ancestor on any of my projects please let me know! 1. [Gulick] Levi Gulick son of George Gulick of Virginia
    2. I have gathered quite a bit of data on Levi and John Gulick of Macon county, Illinois. They were the sons of George Gulick of Loudon Co, VA. George is listed in the 1850 census and I have found that Levi died while returning from a trip to visit his parents. John's descendants still live in Macon Co, Illinois. I have corresponded with a cousin there. Still looking for descendants of Levi's line, besides myself of course. I am looking for more information on George Gulick and his wife Sarah Hughes. Would like to know more about the ancestors they left behind and the Gulick line. Before 1999 we were unaware of the Gulick connection. Levi had three children, Julia, Mary and Lafayette. I do know George was the son of John Gulick. Noticed there are many John Gulicks. Oh well thanks for your time. Scott Wallace
