    1. [GULICK] DAVIS - GULICK Family Photographs
    2. Shelley Cardiel via
    3. I've "rescued" two old photographs belonging to the DAVIS Family of Missouri and Washington. The first is a photograph of Berlin & Cora Mae DAVIS which was taken at a studio in Shelbina, MO sometime in the early 1900's. The two children appear to be about 3-8 years old at the time the photograph was taken. The second photograph is identified as Berlin DAVIS of Chehalis, WA. Berlin appears to be in his teens at the time, likely also in the early 1900's. In addition to his name, someone has written "Mom's Cousin" on the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding this DAVIS Family: Berlin Edward DAVIS was b. 27 Jun 1907 in Missouri and married Evelyn Angeline GULICK (1912-1983) on 16 Sept 1931 in Chelan, WA and together they had 3 children including a son, Norman Oliver DAVIS (1934-2001). Berlin was married a second time to Ninona Adaline COVEY (1914-2010) with whom he had 2 children. Berlin died 19 Dec 1971 in Chehalis, WA. Cora Mae DAVIS was b. 2 Aug 1910 in Monroe, MO to parents William Franklin DAVIS (1881-1930) and Sylvia Ellis KEY (1883-1964). The couple had three children including Berlin, Cora, and Jewell Irene DAVIS who was born and died in 1905. Cora married Merle Raymond PETER (1907-1992) and together they had two children including a daughter, Carol Jean PETER (1938-2000). Cora died 30 Nov 2000 in Quincy, IL. Census records provide the following details: 1910 census of Clay, MO: Frank DAVIS, age 29, married 5 years, born IN, parents born KY/IN, a Farmer Sylvia DAVIS, wife, age 26, married 5 years, 2 children/1 living, born MO, parents born VA/IL Berlin DAVIS, son, age 2, born MO 1920 census of Woodlawn, MO: William F. DAVIS, age 38, born IN, parents born KY/IN, a Farmer Sylvia DAVIS, wife, age 36, born MO, parents born MO Berlin E. DAVIS, son, age 13, born MO, parents born MO Cora May DAVIS, dau, age 9, born MO, parents born MO 1930 census of Wenatchee, WA: Octave G. KEY, age 68, a widow, born IL, parents born IL/USA Frank DAVIS, son-in-law, age 50, married at age 24, born IN, parents born IN, an Odd Jobs Laborer Sylva DAVIS, dau, age 45, married at age 19, born MO, parents born VA/IL Berlin E. DAVIS, grandson, age 22, born MO, a Hotel Clerk + 2 lodgers 1940 census of Wenatchee, WA: M. E. KEY, age 77, a widow, born IL Sylvia E. DAVIS, sister, age 56, a widow, born MO, Private Home Housework Berlin E. DAVIS, nephew, age 32, divorced, born MO, WPA Hoping to reunite the photographs with family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

I was born on July 2nd, 1965 making me 42 yrs old to a Patricia Anne Mazar. Her Father (now deceased) was my grandfather. His name was John Mazar. I know very little about the Mazar family except that he had two sisters in San Diego, California and that he lived in East Chicago, Indiana and worked at Inland Steel Company and eventually he worked for the City of East Chicago Indiana. I am not sure if we are related or not but I was told that they were of Croation, Hungarian, Jewish decent?? However, Mr Mazar attended Holy Trinity Hungarian Church in East Chicago, Indiana and eventually converted to Roman Catholic (St Johns) in the same town. If you know anything about them and if we are related I would appreciate any information. My birth parents are not cooperative in telling me much and I would prefer NOT to bother them.
