He was born in 1826 and died in the 1860s in the Myersville/Middletown area, north of Frederick. On 12/09/1854 in Frederick Co. he married Ann Maria Catherine Gardner, b. in 1835 in MD. We are trying to find out who John William's parents were. Is there a possibility that the Charles Gross you are seeking is John William's grandfather? John William and Ann Maria Gardner had four children, one of whom was named Charles Augustus Gross.
