He was born in Lowell, Mass. 10 November 1846. He was the son of Daniel and Permelia (Jewett) Gross. The family lived in Vermont until about 1864 when they relocated to Freehold Twsp., Warren Co., PA. His siblings were as follows: Francis, Harlan, Arthur, Lewellyn, John and Josephine. All were born in Vermont except Josephine. She was born in Warren, PA. Does this sound like the same family?
