May 5 1958 Services Set for Fred Gross Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Strode funeral home for Fred H. Gross, 54, 1405 W. 9th Ave, who died today at Veterans hospital, Oklahoma City. The Rev. S. Thomas Tipton, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist church, will officiate with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Masonic services at the grave by the Frontier Masonic Lodge No. 48. Born in St. Louis, Mo, on March 10, 1904, he came to Oklahoma with his parents, settling at Guthrie. Following his marriage to Elvyra Black in Richmond, Mo,. they lived at Chushing, but for the past eight years had lived in Stillwater. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a mason by trade and a member of the Bricklayers Union and of Frontier Masonic Lodge No. 487 and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the Baptist church. Surviving are his widow, a son, Fred Gross, 221 Doty St.; a daughter, Mrs. Arlin (Erma Lee) Young, Wichita Falls, Tex., four grandchildren and four sisters. They are Mesdames Pauline Tucker, Edmond; Helen Kennedy, Oklahoma City; Marilyn Dick, Hayward, Calif., and Agnes Inda, Dewey. {This is from a laminated memorial obituary.
