My G Grandfather, JACOB "Job" GROSS)..(Jacob could also be a middle name, married a "LIDA" (probably an aka) DEMPSEY. The Dempseys are connected to the HATFIELDS. I have never been able to find my "Lida" connection to even the DEMPSEY's. My grandfather was born in KANSAS, from a huge family...16 or 17 children. Family, or part of it, may have ended up in Missouri, but I have not found anything on that either. My branch of ancestry moved to the Texas Panhandle, and I know they were there in 1937, when my mother married LESTER ALVAH GROSS. I think I am dealing with a wrong given name (Jacob), possibly, in searching. The family supposedly German. Do you happen to have any information that could possibly help?
