He was born and lived his entire life in Shelby County, Indiana, and most deal with Shelby County, but there are articles from other papers, too. While I am unsure of the fate of these clippings and such (would like to give to a historical or genealogical group), I thought the least I could do was post the articles that I can positively date, in case they were of any genealogical interest to anyone. Hope someone finds this information useful. The following item is from the back of a newspaper clipping about president Kennedy. It is from the Louisville Courier - Journal and dated Saturday Morning, January 21, 1961 BERTIE A. GROSS DIES Owensboro, Ky., Jan. 20 - Bertie A. Gross, 75, Bremen, a retired blacksmith, died Thursday in McLean County Hospital, Calhoun. John A. Gross, Louisville, is a brother.
