I, too, have William le Gros, year 1250, County Kent, England. But from there on I don't have the other names you are looking for. Another Gross descendant, Jack E. Gross, made extensive research, and I do see the name Solomon there. Would you like to contact him? kookoo@digisys.net He sounded very nice and cooperative ( also kind of "brainy "). The Gross history I have was done over many years by Lou Gross, a real sweetheart about sharing , but now deceased. He spent forty something years on his searching, and I will accept that, and am thankful. I was also told somewhere along the line that there were three Gross brothers, in France. One was mine...he went into southern Germany (during the religious persecution ); another brother went to the States, and the third one went to Switzerland. I have nothing at all as follow up on the other two brothers. Please contact me direct if you wish: eyamanaka@webtv.net. Good Luck. Evalyn

"My" George was born 1702, Strasbourg, Germany. The Gross History I have was mainly done by Lou Gross, (deceased many years, Florida ). Lou was a real sweetheart, and had devoted 40 plus years to his research. Good enough for me....I accept it. Another Gross descendant has another idea on his descent. Maybe you would like to contact him: Jack E. Gross, ( kookoo@digisys.net). He, too, is very generous with his research. Please let me know what you decide. Contact me direct: eyamanaka@webtv.net

I have got my lineage from William Le Gross in the 1200's, but , John Henry Gross had two sons, Hans Conrad And Felix who came to the USA from Zurich, Switzerland in 1743. I have one pedigree that says that Hans Conrad is the father of Soloman Sr. Gross, who in return has a Soloman Jr., who had Ellison, who had John Robert, who had Gustavas Adolphus, who had FINALLY, my grandfather Cornelius Oscar Gross in 6/14/1886. My problem is I got that line back in December off of a message board which has subsquetally disappeared. Now all I can find is Felix as the father of Soloman Sr.It would seem somehow both of these Solomans, Hans's son and Felix's son married the same woman, Mary Irwin. Is there anyone that can tell me whats going on. HELP!
