Van, I am saving your email and hope to find a link, one way or another. My first husband and the father of my three adult children is Charles Lynn GRIFFITH, son of Robert Wallace GRIFFITH of Sedalia, MO. And my second husband is Melbourne Dale BLACKWELL, Jr., born in Ft. Bragg, NC, married 20 years, no children. Robert W. GRIFFITH's father was Orville Garrett GRIFFITH 1901-1964, son of Thomas Wilford GRIFFITH 1880-1937and Della HART 1882-1919 - dates are appx. There is some confusion regarding Melissa Branum GRIFFITH (Wells) 1853-1918 who is 1/2 Cherokee according to my former mother-in-law's records. Melissa is recorded as Great Granddaddy Grif's daughter. Looking at the dates, does this mean Thomas Wilford GRIFFITH is a brother to Melissa (birthdates 1880 and 1853?). Charles Lynn Griffith 11/1945- son of Robert Wallace Griffith 6/6/1922- living in Jacksonville, FL son of Orville Garrett Griffith 11/18/1901-12/2/1964 (divorced from Gladys Marie Mohler 1902-1985) Sedalia, MO son of Thomas Wilford Griffith 1880-1937 (married to Della Hart 1882-1919) Sedalia, MO son of Great Granddaddy Grif Melissa Branum Griffith (Wells) 1853-1918 daughter of Great Granddaddy Grif? I had an uncle in Pinetops, NC named Roy GRIFFIN on my mother's side - her sister's husband. I don't have information about his family. This completes the direct line of information I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hope someone can help you. Evelyn Baker Blackwell
Hi Evelyn, I'm confused. Who is Melissa Branum Griffith and how is she related to the rest? I have several Griffith books, and try to give any information that I may find, but am not able to do look-ups. I was reading through your message, and think I might have missed something.
