J.Henry Clay Griffith (Ipa)was a blacksmith and tombstones engraver,& Maker So was Henry Clay Griffith (My Pappy Clay).Ipa's work is all over Limestone Co,Texas and Freestone Co. Pappy's is all over Navarro Co,Ellis Co, & Hill Co. There is more Griffith's in Navarro Co. But Pappy said they are not Kin. I have Friends in Ellis Co (Waxahachie) they are Griffith's but not kin too. they all maybe if we keep looking. Beverly, can you ask your Griffith friends from Waxhachie if they descend from a William Griffith. I have information that a William T. Griffith b around 1835 moved to Texas and became a Tobacconist in and around Waxhachie. William T. Griffith was the son of Jehu Griffith and Martha Ingram Campbell Griffith. Hi All, There is one Griffith of Waxahachie, (Lynn B.) who descends from William Griffith and Sarah Maccubbin. I think his son and grandson are still in Waxahachie and practice law there. This William Griffith died in 1699 in Maryland. Some of this family was in Palmer, Texas and area.
