Thanks for the suggestion, Dennis. I've only seen a few references to her and she was Mary. No reason why I shouldn't look for Polly. I just never thought of it. I've been looking at the Griffith families in Montgomery and Frederick 1790 and 1800 census records. I keep going back to the sons of Greenberry Griffith and Ruth Riggs. I also realized that she might have been a Griffith widow, rather than a daughter. I'll get this figured out ONE OF THESE DAYS !!
