Hi Susan, I have gone through my Griffith Information which includes two books I have - Anne Arundes Gentry by Harry Wright Newman and also a Griffith Genealogy by R. R. Griffith of Baltimore and I can't find a William Griffith married to Nancy "Anne" Wells. Do you have any dates for these people? If I have some birth or death dates for them it will place them in a generation at least. I feel like he is one of the Anne Arundel Griffiths if he married a Wells. I even looked through the Wells genealogy in the Anne Arundel Gentry book and didn't find Ann that married a Griffith. Let me know about the dates and maybe I can figure out more.
