    3. Hi Emma, Thanks for that offer, however, I have these Griffiths back to William Griffith and Sarah Maccubbin who were in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. William Griffith died in 1699 in AA Co. My husband descends from his son, Orlando Griffith, and two of Orlando's sons, Henry and Charles Greenberry Griffith. If you have anything additional to this, I will be grateful to get it. Thanks again, Joanna Smith Dunn > Joanna, > When years ago when I started on my Griffith's, I was taken to the Big > Genealogy Library here in Houston and a friend told me that the man that > founded it, his Griffith's were from the Virginia area. 3. Hi Joanna.... I just returned from a vacation and I subscribe to the Griffith list, and your reply to Emma below was in my email box. I am searching for the parents of a William Griffith who married Nancy "Ann' Wells. Someone on this list had told me his father was Orlando, but I don't think that's right. By any chance, would you have any info on the William I am researching? I've posted to this list several times, and have only had the reply regarding Orlando. Thanks for any help you can give, Sue ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joanna Dunn" <Joannasd@direcway.com> To: <GRIFFITH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, August 03, 2003 11:49 AM Subject: Re: [GRIFFITH] Thanks (Waxahachie Griffiths) > Hi Emma, > Thanks for that offer, however, I have these Griffiths back to William > Griffith and Sarah Maccubbin who were in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. > William Griffith died in 1699 in AA Co. 3. Hi Susan, I have gone through my Griffith Information which includes two books I have - Anne Arundes Gentry by Harry Wright Newman and also a Griffith Genealogy by R. R. Griffith of Baltimore and I can't find a William Griffith married to Nancy "Anne" Wells. Do you have any dates for these people? If I have some birth or death dates for them it will place them in a generation at least. I feel like he is one of the Anne Arundel Griffiths if he married a Wells. I even looked through the Wells genealogy in the Anne Arundel Gentry book and didn't find Ann that married a Griffith. Let me know about the dates and maybe I can figure out more. Best regards, Joanna Smith Dunn > Hi Joanna.... > I just returned from a vacation and I subscribe to the Griffith list, and > your reply to Emma below was in my email box.
