    2. THE GRIFFITH'S [sic] OF WALES AND AMERICA was published in 1979 (reprinted in 1982) by Anna Laura Griffith, Route 3, Box 2263, Mayfield, KY 42066. I bought a copy from the author in August of 1992 for $25.00. It is a compilation of public and family records garnered from various sources, about 135 pages plus an index. I'll be willing to consult the index for specific names. For my own Griffith line it has not been particularly helpful, but I'm still glad I bought it.

    3. Just to clarify your response, does the book contain a multitude of records dealing with a wide variety of records about anyone whose last name is Griffith or does it deal with a specific line of Griffiths? - Jean Griesan -----Original Message----- From: GBuchanan737@aol.com [mailto:GBuchanan737@aol.com] Sent: Wednesday, June 02, 2004 10:14 AM To: GRIFFITH-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [GRIFFITH] Re: GRIFFITH-D Digest V04 #25 THE GRIFFITH'S [sic] OF WALES AND AMERICA was published in 1979 (reprinted in 1982) by Anna Laura Griffith, Route 3, Box 2263, Mayfield, KY 42066. 3. This book is a collection of things. Mrs. Griffith shows lines (pedigrees) from the Welsh, has lines sent to her by various people, Griffith marriages in Kentucky, Griffiths in the Revoluction, the 1800 census, and other compilations. In the introduction Mrs. Griffith says : "For those interested (in the history of Wales) there are several "History of Wales" books, and they all give a wonderful history of this Welsh line, each tells it a little different so I chose the most reliable source and use these. I especially liked the one by Sir John Edward Lloyd." Contributions include those lines by: Mrs. Tracy Carpenter, Mr. Arthur Griffith Bruner, Mrs. Robert M. Libke, Laura Jean Ewing, Dan W. Griffith, Mr. Paul A. Smith, Pauline Lang to mention a few. A year or two ago I did look ups in this book. I found very little information for anyone, but conveyed what there was on two or three of the 70 or so look up requests. I am no longer doing look-ups. ----- Original Message ----- From: Tom Griesan <griesantomjean@msn.com> To: <GRIFFITH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, June 02, 2004 11:35 AM Subject: [GRIFFITH] RE: Griffiths of Wales by Anna Laura Griffith > Just to clarify your response, does the book contain a multitude of > records dealing with a wide variety of records about anyone whose last > name is Griffith or does it deal with a specific line of Griffiths? > - Jean Griesan > > -----Original Message----- > From: GBuchanan737@aol.com [mailto:GBuchanan737@aol.com] > Sent: Wednesday, June 02, 2004 10:14 AM > To: GRIFFITH-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [GRIFFITH] Re: GRIFFITH-D Digest V04 #25 > > > THE GRIFFITH'S [sic] OF WALES AND AMERICA was published in 1979 > (reprinted in > 1982) by Anna Laura Griffith, Route 3, Box 2263, Mayfield, KY 42066. 3. Thank you for your generous offer to look up names in the index. I'm looking for two names if you have time. Isaac Elisha Griffith and Joel Griffith. Both died in Texas. Thank you, Inell Harden Dunn GBuchanan737@aol.com wrote: THE GRIFFITH'S [sic] OF WALES AND AMERICA was published in 1979 (reprinted in 1982) by Anna Laura Griffith, Route 3, Box 2263, Mayfield, KY 42066. 1. Lookup - Lewis Fredrick Griffith
    2. Tom Griesan
    3. I would like a lookup from this book. I have a note in my genealogy papers that the section written by Mrs. Robert M. Libke pertains to my line. I would like to have the information on Lewis Fredrick Griffith, born in 1790 in Bedford County, PA. His wife was Ruth Osborn, born in 1792 in Bedford County, PA. I have a fair amount of information on this line, but there may be more there than what I have. This family moved several times before settling in Lawrence County, Ohio. This family eventually had 12 children, including my GG Grandfather, John H.C. Stewart. Thanks for the offer of a lookup. - Jean Griesan -----Original Message----- From: GBuchanan737@aol.com [mailto:GBuchanan737@aol.com] Sent: Wednesday, June 02, 2004 10:14 AM To: GRIFFITH-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [GRIFFITH] Re: GRIFFITH-D Digest V04 #25 THE GRIFFITH'S [sic] OF WALES AND AMERICA was published in 1979 (reprinted in 1982) by Anna Laura Griffith, Route 3, Box 2263, Mayfield, KY 42066.
