Hello Fellow Listmembers, I'm a beginning genealogist, so I hope I'm doing this post correctly. I'm looking for the parents/ancestors of the following man: William (middle initial possibly E.) GRIFFITH, born 7-11-1851 in Mineral Springs, AR. Died 3-22-1936 in ?Seminole? County, OK. Buried in Hominy, OK. He was married 12-24-1879 (by James Musgrave, a relative) to Sarah Frances "Fannie" WALDEN, born 1-17-1862 in Mineral Springs, AR. William is my gggrandfather, and has been a real brick wall for me. I'll truly appreciated any help or suggestions. Thanks! Jeanette, Sacramento, CA

You did fine. I will tell you my one problem with the name Griffith is the spelling. My husband's family is Griffiths and I had a branch I knew was in the Cin OH area. I even had letters from them. I never really noticed the one man's signature on his letters to his brother. It seems that he dropped his s as did several of the others when they went to Cin. Now knowing to ck for not only the Griffiths but the Griffith name I found them listed in directories in Northern KY and the Cin area. Good luck with your William E. Griffith. I have one I finally found in NKY and hope to get his d/c on my nxt trip down to our son's home in NKY Pat Jones riverrat111@earthlink.net ----- Original Message ----- From: <SmokeSignalz@aol.com> To: <GRIFFITH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, May 01, 2003 5:22 AM Subject: [GRIFFITH] 1st Posting re: this family > Hello Fellow Listmembers, > I'm a beginning genealogist, so I hope I'm doing this post correctly. > I'm looking for the parents/ancestors of the following man: > > William (middle initial possibly E.)
