Davis is probably right, a site wouldn't accomplish any more than the list if the folks aren't connected. Something that is done on one of the other list I'm on is a "ROLL CALL". Each of the listers post their line up or down to the living ones or name change. As we have seen, the listers have connections, and at any given time there could be new ones on the list. Connections can be made through ROLL CALL. I am not aware of any on my line on the list, but there might be a whole slew of cousins. How about posting our lines, (with dates, locations, and sources if possible) if several are connected that would be a great bunch for a site to work on the same lines----? ----- Original Message ----- From: David B. A Roll Call is a good idea. For me, I might suggest instead that those who are interested in knowing where my GRIFFITHs are to go to my RootsWeb WorldConnect website (or, Ancestry Family Trees--it seems to be at both sites) to see those I have there. They begin in Colonial days U.S., Sussex Co., Delaware and in Maryland. The database changes constantly because I'm lucky enough lately to add about 200 names each week (not all GRIFFITHs, by any means, but a few have been), so the list fluctuates greatly all the time. The URL is: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=seajae --Carol (Huffington > Carlisle > Griffith) Menges ----- Original Message ----- From: "Happy Texan" <ldavis@lcc.net> To: <GRIFFITH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 24, 2003 8:02 AM Subject: Re: [GRIFFITH] sites > Davis is probably right, a site wouldn't accomplish any more than the list > if the folks aren't connected. > Something that is done on one of the other list I'm on is a "ROLL CALL".
